2007–2010 Binational bachelor's degree in German studies, Italian studies, and cultural studies at the Universities of Bonn and Florence, completed with a thesis on historical linguistics. 2011–2013 Master's degree in European Studies at the University of Passau, specializing in Italian linguistics, Italophone culture, and art history, completed with a master's thesis in art history on the topic “G. B. Vaccarinis Elefantenbrunnen in Catania – zur politischen Ikonographie eines Tiersymbols in der Frühen Neuzeit.” 2023 Doctorate in art history at the University of Göttingen (title: “Pierre Belons L'Histoire de la nature des oyseaux (1555) – Naturhistorische Bild- und Sammlungspraxis zwischen dem 16. und 18. Jahrhundert“).
2018–2022 Doctoral scholarship holder of the Cusanuswerk; 2017–2023 Member of the interdisciplinary Scuola dottorale confederale svizzera in ‘Civiltà italiana’ at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano.
2015–2018: Research assistant in the department of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Wolf at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz – Max-Planck-Institut (KHI). 2018–2021 Freelance research assistant at the same institution; 2021–2023 Research assistant at the same institution in the GAP-Graffiti Art in Prison cooperation project. Since 2024 Associate researcher at KHI Florence.
February 2024–January 2025: Postdoctoral fellow (Fritz Thyssen Foundation) at the German Study Center in Venice.
Since 2025: Postdoctoral assistant at the Department of Art History at the University of Basel.
